Citrin started on Ohio State’s campus with a few hundred dollars, an ambitious college student, and a belief that valet parking could be done differently.
The idea was simple: treat frontline team members with respect, train them well, hold them to a high standard, and give them a real opportunity to grow. If we took better care of our people, they would take better care of our clients and their guests.
What began with a single valet operation in the Arena District – Tyfoon Restaurant – grew one relationship at a time. Clients trusted us with more responsibility, our team members grew into leaders, and Citrin expanded from a local valet company into a broader hospitality organization serving businesses across the country.
Through all of that growth, Columbus has remained home. It is where we learned the business, built many of our longest-standing partnerships, and developed the culture that still shapes how we operate today.
Nearly two decades later, the principles that started Citrin remain the same: take care of people, earn trust, communicate openly, solve problems quickly, and never stop improving.
